The POB terminal is a cashless ATM that allows a customer to go through the normal steps of processing a payment with a debit card by inserting or swiping their card. However, in contrast to a point of sale, a POB operates in predetermined increments of $10 or $20 amounts. The customer will then take a printed receipt to the clerk as proof of purchase. Change is given as necessary. The dollar amount is transferred to the business within a day or two.
